Fun Lightsaber

My son bought this with his birthday money about a year and a half ago. It is sturdy and has held up to a lot of abuse. He loves that is has realistic battle clashing noises and he can flip it out like a real lightsaber. It does not collapse all the way back into the handle, but for my 6 year old this is wonderful. We've actually bought the purple one for my 2 year old daughter because she's always trying to take her brothers and we've bought him the green lightsaber for Christmas as well! We love these.

My 10-year-old son loves this!

I looked at many lightsabers before settling on this one for my son for Christmas. He loves it because it looks, feels and sounds like a "real" lightsaber. The sounds it makes coincide with the motion of the user--when my son bangs something with it, it makes a banging sound, and so forth. It also has that iconic lightsaber "hum" and the "swish" sound a lightsaber makes when turned on or off.
It also does light up quite nicely and is great fun for him to play with in a semi-dark room.
The only problem is, now I have to get another one for my other son, so they can have lightsaber battles. Hmmm.

Its great for kids

I bought this toy for my 3 yr old son and he loves it. Like most little kids he kept turning it on and off repeatedly until the batteries died. We limited his use of it and the batteries lasted about a month. Its durable and can take a beating. There's no problem with the retractable blade either, but keep in mind that this blade does not fully retract into the handle. The length of the blade is fine for a child. My 1 yr old daughter even likes playing with it and swinging it around. She also quickly learned how to turn it on and off.
